145 Acre Eco-Friendly Farm & Woodlands
It’s a hectic life and sometimes you just need to recharge your batteries and slow down a bit.
Our two elegantly furnished cottages, Pinecone and Honeysuckle, high atop the Cumberland Plateau on a stagecoach run that crossed our 145 acre farm and woodlands in the 1800s, offer the perfect romantic get away or family retreat, far from crowds yet close to lakes, waterfalls, restaurants and local attractions.
Luxuriate in an outdoor hot tub on your private deck at night while you gaze at starry skies far from city lights. Snuggle by the fireplace inside, have some hot cocoa and enjoy the mountain view or build a cowboy style firepit outside. Explore the farm’s Fern Forest and Stagecoach Trails and enjoy the magic of the moment. Although big snows are rare, you may just get snowed it this winter and not get back to the office at your scheduled time. Now wouldn't that be a shame!
Every season offers a multitude of activities and adventures. Winter with its warm fires, winter hikes, cozy spa soaks, snuggles and a good book... spring with the wild flowers and early garden produce... summer with the organic farm garden's delicacies and fall with the magical colors of the leaves... They are all special and what better place to enjoy yourselves than on our family's 145 acre property, home to deer, red fox, possum, squirrels and wild turkeys. For over thirty years, our family has followed organic and environmentally friendly policies and our mountain hide-away offers refuge to a large assortment of butterflies, lightenings bugs (firefiles), and a wide diversity of birds including hawks, woodpeckers, cardinals, bluebirds, house wrens, hummingbirds and more. Our farm’s secluded spring fed pond is full of brim (bream) and bass so bring your poles or borrow ours (no license required).
